Galatasaray midfielder Wesley Sneijder has revealed that he is still in touch with Portuguese manager José Mourinho, who recently took over at Chelsea.

The 28-year-old has been linked with a move to the Premier league outfit in recent weeks. He is someone who had a great relationship with Mourinho when he was in charge of Inter Milan.

During the two years that the pair worked together, Sneijder became one of the best midfielders in the world. He even managed to win several UEFA prizes during this period. Ever since Mourinho left Inter Milan, he has been linked with a reunion with Sneijder.

Now that he has come back to Stamford Bridge, the rumours have intensified. Chelsea have one of the best midfielders in Europe at the moment. However, the club is very keen on replacing Frank Lampard, who is coming to the end of his career. At 35 years of age, Lampard does not have a long time left in football. Sneijder will provide a lot of versatility to Chelsea's play due to his ability to play in a number of positions.

Further, he can also be expected to get the best out of Fernando Torres, who has struggled since his big money move to West London.

However, Sneijder has denied rumours that he is moving to Chelsea by insisting that he remains happy at Galatasaray.

"I am always in talks with Mourinho. I am in contact with him right now. But this has nothing to do with any transfer negotiations. We are good friends and keep in touch regularly," said the midfielder, who provided the assist for Didier Drogba in the 2-1 win over Arsenal in a friendly match. Galatasaray were taking on the Premier league outfit in the Emirates cup as part of their pre-season preparations, and they managed to come away victorious.
