Bale is one high-profile British players to have moved abroad. He plays for Madrid, one of the biggest clubs in the world, after his world-record £ 85 million transfer from the London outfit. Madrid are known to sign quality players for extravagant transfer fees. They have a history of signing players from the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool in the past.

Despite being only 19 years old, the England international has been a key figure towards Liverpool finishing second in the table last season. Brendan Rodgers recently said that referees should offer Sterling more protection from the vicious tackles that he is being subjected to.
