Galatasaray legend Cevad Prekazi wants his former club to overcome Fenerbahce in the upcoming clash between the two.
Galatasaray have been experiencing one of their worst campaigns in recent history. After a winless run of four matches, they have slipped to sixth place in the league and are probably going to miss out on European qualification. They have been banned by UEFA from taking part in European campaigns after exceeding their FFP limits. Prekazi is now 58 years old, but fans will forever remember the goal he scored against against Monaco from more than 40 yards out in the UEFA cup.
He says that even though he regards Galatasaray as his first club, he has a soft spot for Besiktas as well. If Galatasaray managed to get a win over Fenerbahce, it would put Besiktas firmly in control of the title race. The bookies have no idea which way it will go, though as ever the best odds are available by using a Bet365 promo code.
Prekazi says that he would at least be able to celebrate the success of his second favourite club. Galatasaray gone through a woeful season and it may take quite a while before they recover. The club has already gone through a number of managers since Hamza Hamzaoğlu left the club in November 2015. In the last few months alone, the club has appointed the likes of Cláudio Taffarel, Mustafa Denizli, Orhan Atik, and Jan Olde Riekerink with only Denizli being on a permanent basis.
"As a former Galatasaray player and a fan, I want them to win for Besiktas with my all heart... They have a very good coach and a young team.I always loved Besiktas, of course after Galatasaray. Galatasaray always comes first,” said the former Galatasaray player. He is regarded as one of the best players to have represented the Turkish outfit. He also played for the likes ofPartizan Belgrade,Hajduk Split, Altay Izmir, and Bakirköyspor before retiring in 1994.
